The Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies and Taiwan Fellowship are available for application !

 The "Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies" and  "Taiwan Fellowship" which are administered by The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS)  are available for application.  These programs are aimed at foreign scholars of the humanities, social sciences and the fields of Chinese or Taiwanese Studies, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, Ph.D. candidates and researchers at overseas universities and academic institutes, wishing to carry out research in Taiwan for periods between three months and one year. Assistance provided includes a monthly stipend, assistance with research materials, liaison with scholars and institutions in Taiwan, use of CCS facilities, and a direct round-trip economy-class ticket.

 

All application materials for 2014 Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies should be posted electronically or by air mailno later than May 31,2013.  Notification of CCS's decision will be given by the end of August after a careful review.  Application for the 2014 Taiwan Fellowship, which CCS administers on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be accepted between May1 and June 30, 2013.
