On Saturday, Sep. 6 at 2:30-4:00 pm.

At Tutor Campus Center Ballroom, USC.

 

Taiwan Youth Ambassadors are undergraduate students who represent our young generation to promote Taiwan new Image and new life.  The performance includes 11 programs covering traditional and modern musical instrument playing, dancing, Chinese opera and show to deliver Taiwanese culture and education from young students' perspective.  A reception will be provided immediately following the performance.

The Department of Marine Biotechnology & Resources, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, seeks Assistant Professors or higher level with tenure track appointments, which position begin as early as August 1, 2015. Responsibilities of the job include scientific research, teaching, and student affair, as well as part of administration mix.
Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Biotechnology or the applications that relate to Marine Resources. The Department of Marine Biotechnology & Resources is in the College of Marine Sciences. It offers Bachelors, Masters, and Ph. 2014 Taiwan International Student Design Competition Calls for Entries!

The 2014 Taiwan International Student Design Competition, one of the world's largest student design competitions, is now open for submissions!
 
Organized by the Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education, the competition has entered its 7th year.  Well-known scholars and designers from all over the world are invited to form the jury, establishing a fair and authoritative evaluation system for selecting the best designs from young talents. Since its establishment, the competition has attracted over 17,000 entries from 69 countries/ regions.
 
The theme of 2014 is "Circle of Life". To encourage more student designers, the organizer increased the number of awards. There are expected to be more than 40 awards, with a total of nearly NT$ 3 million dollars in prizes. The Grand Prix winner can win NT $ 400,000 alone. Newly-added prizes include the special awards in collaboration with renowned international design associations and specific brands.
 
There are four categories in the competition—Product Design, Visual Design, Digital Animation , and Brand Specified. TISDC welcomes bold and creative ideas. This year, the finalists in Product Design category do not have to submit work models. The jurors will evaluate the works by the design concepts.
 
With the professional judging panel and significant prizes, TISDC is definitely a great platform for worldwide students to show their talents. The competition is free of entry fee and multiple submissions of different works are acceptable.  Register now at http://www.tisdc.org.
 
 

Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) of Academia Sinica is accepting applications

TIGP offers 12 Ph.D. programs and is accepting applications for admission to the 2014 fall semester. The applications are due before 31 March, 2014.  No application fee is required. Please apply online for admission at: http://db1x.sinica.edu.tw/tigp/index.php
